If you only come to one of my gigs over the next month, I suggest coming to see the G&B showcase next Tuesday 29th March, where you will get to see a long preview of Donal Vaughan’s Science Magic XXX show for free. I’ve only seen a bit of it but that bit was hilarious. Here is a clip to give you an idea of what to expect:
Full gig details are below.
But I hope you can come to more than one of my gigs. I have some exciting stuff coming up, including a 10 minute spot at Comedy in Your Eye and a roast battle.
Gig dates
Thursday March 24th 7:30pm - Quintessential Comedy, Camden
This night has a good standard of acts and the pub has a great range of Belgian beer. This is a bringer, so get in touch if you fancy this.
Quinn’s, 65 Kentish Town Road, London NW1 8NY
Tuesday March 29th 7pm - Science Magic XXX/G&B Showcase, Kings Cross
A preview of Donal Vaughan’s Science Magic XXX show (Donal is a properly hilarious award-winning professional comedian). I’ll be doing 5 minutes first along with some other comedians including Ros Hale.

Under new management. Comfy sofas.
6 Daventry Street, London NW1 5NX

UPDATED - Wednesday April 13th TBD - The Secret Comedy Club, BRIGHTON
This was originally Tuesday, it is now on Wednesday. Sorry about that.
Artista, 42 Waterloo St, Hove BN3 1AY
Wednesday April 20th 7:30pm - Comedy In Your Eye, Camden Town
Come and see me do a 10 minute set to close the first half! It’s a fun format where if you mention one of the forbidden subjects you incur the wrath of the Eye - which works well with my ‘persona’. I had a blast doing this last time - here is the video in case you missed it.
Camden Eye, 2 Kentish Town Rd, London NW1 9NX
Sunday April 24th 7:30pm (doors 6:30) - Sunday Shtick, Kentish Town
This is a bringer night so please let me know if you’re interested. Strong lineups and a great MC mean that this night is attracting a growing crowd of regulars and I hope won’t be a bringer for much longer.

Rose & Crown, 71-73 Torriano Ave, London NW5 2SG

Thursday April 28th 8pm (doors 7:30) - Wheel of Death, Kentish Town
Some kind of high concept format that I don’t fully understand. Exciting!
The Gipsy Queen, 166 Malden Road, London NW5 4BS
Friday April 29th 10:45pm - Roast Battle London, Angel
I’m in a Roast Battle tournament! My first opponent will be Brummy hunk Joe Bingham.

Red Letter Media is one of the few good channels on YouTube. They have been nailing it recently with this episode of “Best of The Worst” (where they watch and rate terrible old VHS movies; this time they find some incredibly bizarre training and health films) and their recent discussion of Total Recall.
Sofie Hagen enjoyed the horrific global pandemic making everyone go into lockdown because she didn’t have to worry about being too fat to sit in the seats at the theatre. She also liked being prioritised for vaccines but thinks that “medical professionals from all sides were debating whether or not Covid affected fat people more than thin people and if so, why, and so on.” Being overweight was a risk factor - I don’t think there was much debate over that, which is why they vaccinated morbidly obese people earlier. Of course, if you’re a ‘healthy at any size’ nutjob you can’t admit that having a BMI over 40 might have a health downside, so Sofie weirdly casts this as fat people being ‘privileged’, as if maybe the public health apparatus just decided to be nice to them for no reason. Truly deranged.
Good roundup of articles showing that ‘caNCel cUltuRe DoeSn’t eXiSt’ types are just wrong - including the story of a guy who was fired from his job for sharing a study that showed riots are unpopular.
Peacemaker, a spinoff TV show from the most recent Suicide Squad film (the good one directed by James Gunn) is available to stream on NOW TV. Based on the first episode, they’re staying close to the tone of the film. Quite funny and very violent.
