Here’s the full video of my roast battle with Brummy hunk Joe Bingham:
This was a great battle. I feel like I’ve got much better at roasting, and Joe really gave it to me with both barrels. I recommend watching to the end to see me deploy the f-slur and get away with it.
Remember, the next round is coming soon: Friday 13th May, 11pm at the Bill Murray Islington. My opponent is young gay lesbian Alex Beighton who seems to be good at roasting men, so frankly I need all the support I can get.
Paid subscription news
A few months ago I unexpectedly got made redundant. I added a paid subscription option to this newsletter in panic.
Now I’m better than fine financially and I no longer need to monetise this newsletter. Plus, I don’t really have the time to write any longer essays and horribly offensive Anne Much thinkpieces any more - I think my time would be better spent working on stand-up and other projects.
The paid options are really offputting to new people signing up because they are presented by default… Unfortunately Substack (the service I use to run this thing) doesn’t allow you to hide the paid options, so what I’ve done is just disabled all paid subscriptions altogether.
If you were one of the few people very kindly supporting me, you will get a refund for the remaining time on your subscription. I don’t know what happens to the bonus content but you will always have the email version. If there’s anything you can’t access that you want to see again, just email me and I will try to make it right.
