Gig dates until Valentine's Day; special Valentine's Day gig news
This is the normal weekly gig dates and recommendations newsletter.
I appreciate that you probably don’t want to get a bunch of emails about bonus content for paid subscribers. I’ve set it up so that nobody will get an email when Anne Much publishes a new article, unless they opt-in. You can do that by going to sorryisaidthat.biz and logging in using the email address where you receive this newsletter, and monkeying around with the settings.
Attention incels and volcels
I’m doing a special Valentine’s Day night gig on February 14th (obviously). It’s run by the veteran comic Ivor Dembina - I have recommended his current show here before. I’ve promised them I’ll bring two audience members. Now I appreciate that some of you have romantic plans with your partners, but maybe some of you are bitter and single. Or maybe your romantic partner would enjoy seeing me do 10 minutes on the theme of ‘love and relationships’ (it’s going to mainly be about sex). Some of my material might be a springboard to spicing things up in the bedroom.
There are limited tickets available so please buy them now from:
Let me know if you’re coming (you can just reply to this email and it will get to me).
The venue is in Kentish Town: Aces & Eights Saloon Bar, 156-158 Fortess Rd, London NW5 2HP

The Regent, 201 Liverpool Rd Islington, London N1 1LX
NEW: Wednesday 25 January 7:30pm - Comedy In Your Eye, Camden
Cool format where a giant eye judges comics who talk about hack topics. Please contact me if you want to come to this as I need a bringer. I’ll buy you alcohol.
Camden Eye, 2 Kentish Town Road, Camden, NW1 9NX
Thursday 27 January 8pm (doors 7pm) - Monkey Business, Camden
Looks like a good line-up. Venue has nice cocktails.
Tickets £7.50 from https://www.wegottickets.com/event/534313.
All About Eve, 31 Jamestown Road, NW1 7DB
Monday 31 January 7:30pm - Pegasus Comedy, Kentish Town
This is in the same pub as Sunday Shtick. Free! I might do my dog act or some other crazy high concept thing.
Rose & Crown, 71-73 Torriano Ave, London NW5 2SG
Friday 4 February 7:45pm - Cuddles for Troubles, London Bridge/Borough
A free, Friday night gig in a Borough pub a few minutes from London Bridge. Despite the name, this isn’t some kind of ‘use comedy to treat your mental illness’ night (I don’t think). Starts late enough that you could enjoy some of the delicious food of Borough market or its surrounding restaurants first.

Bonus content
Anne Much is at it again with 17 Into 7 Won’t Go: I Hate To Admit It, But Woody Allen’s Blatant Ephebophilia Clears Him Of Pedophilia (paid subscribers only; read the whole thing with a 14 day free trial).
For paid subscribers, I am working on a long post called Boris Johnson, reconsidered as a hack comic which will go out some time next week.
Recommendations
In the second episode of Rick and Morty they float the idea of doing a spin-off show about sentient dogs. Well, somebody took that idea and ran with it and made Dogs In Space (Netflix). It’s pretty good and family friendly.
I continue to recommend Liz Kingsman’s One Woman Show.
Did you know that Max Payne 3 is now backwards compatible and on sale? Still one of the best ever games about shooting people in the face in slow motion.
