It’s the summer of Ben
I got through the first round of Angel Comedy’s Roast Battle tournament! It was a great battle, and pretty much every joke from both sides landed. I won the judges’ votes 3-0, but that doesn’t reflect how good my opponent (Brummy hunk Joe Bingham) was, and he quite rightly got through to the next round as a wild card. Multiple people have said we did the best roast of the night. Maybe I’m not totally deluding myself thinking I can do stand-up.

Part of my sacred duty as a dungeon master is to watch and read fantasy shit looking for ideas to rip off for my campaign. Willow (1988) (Disney+) really holds up as a rip-roaring fantasy adventure with a surprising amount of violence and dubcon romance. Watch it again before they release the upcoming spinoff series.
